Takeda Residence
Takeda Family is told as a descendant of Nobutsuna Shoyoken (1525 – 1582) who is younger brother of Shingen Takeda in Kai. The family was wealthy farmer and the leader of Ota village for generations. The house was built about 200 years ago and still remains for what it was. The house is told that it was built by leftover materials when main hall of Shoko-ji temple in Fushiki was rebuilt during An-ei era (1772 – 1780). We know that the house was built at that time because of its structure and technique. After Meiji era, many famous artistic people such as Tesshu Yamaoka and Taikan Yokoyama stayed in the house and left their works.
A part of the facility interior can be visited via Google Street View.
